Forums/Conferences

Through annual Forums and Conferences, LOGTECH has brought together key players to explore crucial and timely issues in logistics, supporting technologies and business practices.

LOGTECH Forums – These highly interactive multi-day forums have provided extended examination of issues and frank and open dialogue among senior uniformed and civilian military officials, DoD executives, academic thought leaders and senior private sector participants.  Frequently, a Forum focused on topics identified at LOGTECH Executive Education programs and the LOGTECH SME Board as warranting further in-depth roundtable discussion.  To date, five highly successful invitation only events have been held at the National Defense University, Ft. McNair, with the most recent specifically tailored for the wireless community, RFID Forum, held in December of 2006. Forums are not currently funded through LOGTECH.

Focused Logistics Conferences - Since 2002, the Focused Logistics Briefings conference series has enhanced the multinational dimension to LOGTECH’s “shoulder to shoulder” interaction among the DoD, private sector and academia.  As a conference partner, LOGTECH has helped to organize U.S. participation in this premier event held in London, the U.K, working with the conference sponsors the Royal United Services Institute and Defence Events Management, Ltd.  Focused Logistics conferences bring together senior military, government and industry representatives from the U.S., the U.K., plus other nations in Europe, the Mid East and Far East.  Recent conference topics have included The Digital Future of Military Logistics, Tactical Logistics, and Future Platform Sustainment and Maintenance.
